On The Wings Of A Prayer

Just close your Eyes and open your heart,
And feel your worries and cares depart.
Just yield yourself to the Father above,
And let him hold you secure in his love.

For life on earth grows more involved,
With endless problems that can't be solved,
But God only ask us to do our best,
Then he will take over and finish the rest...

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
There is always one door that is open to you,
And that is the door to The House of Prayer,
And you'll find God waiting to meet you there.
And The House of Prayer is no further away,
than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.

For the heart is a temple when God is there
As we place ourselves in his loving care.
And he hears every prayer and answers each one
When we Pray in His name - Thy will be done.
The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.

...not too many requests for toddler boys

We've submitted an initial application to an agency that handles Ethiopian adoptions. We have so much going on right now, so we're taking our first baby steps in what is sure to be a strenuous journey....we know the drill. I spoke to a representative from the agency, and told her we would like to adopt a boy, someone between one and three. I was thrilled to hear that since we wanted a boy of that age, the time to complete the entire process would most likely be less than a year. When I inquired as to why the time frame was so short, she said, "We don't get a lot of requests for toddler boys". Hearing that broke my heart, but in the same instant, my heart opened wider. I need to stay in the realm of possibility, hope and conviction for myself, my family and for all those toddler boys.
